Since my birthday is tomorrow, I thought I'd share with you the things that were on my wish list. Obviously, my chances of receiving more than one of these things are very slim to nil but a girl can dream, right?

1:: Custom Nikes - just because. 2:: Scarves - Jeanswest have a massive range and you can never have too many. 3:: The new Fitbit Charge 2 - I love my Fitbit but this one has fancy guided breathing sessions. 4 & 6:: Anything and everything from The Daily Edited store. 5:: This is a need and a want - new sunnies - particularly this pair by Ralph. 7:: I'm pretty sure my current set of mix-n-match wine glasses are from Red Dot... I'm turning 34 so it might be time for an upgrade! These stemless Riedel glasses are lovely. 8:: A subscription to the only magazine I ever purchase - Collective Hub. 9:: And finally, the big ticket wish list item (not going to happen) a new camera from Fujifilm.

Pure Design Co Birthday Wish List

The new year is here! A clean slate, a fresh start. Resolutions have been made and we’re all setting big goals for ourselves and our businesses.

But there is a really important part of goal setting that lots of us forget about… tracking our progress! Who doesn’t love looking back and seeing what they’ve accomplished and how close to their goals they are? Hell, I do! It's important so that we remain positive, focused and motivated by our small achievements on the way to our big goals.

Whether your goals are to grow your social media following, increase your income or book more clients, I’ve created a little Progress Tracker so that you can see where you started and how much you've grown throughout 2017!

Let’s do this 2017 – may it be our best yet.

Happy hump day friends! Can you believe we're already five days into October!! That also means there is less than 12 weeks until Christmas...

To help keep myself planned and organised during this crazy time of year, I created a 4 month calendar so I print the pages, keep them loose on my desk and stay on track as much as possible.

I'm sharing this printable planner with you for FREE and have included an inspirational quote to keep you motivated as well.

When you view the galleries for Timeless Paige Photography, you'll notice right away the soft colours and vintage style. Jess, the talented photographer behind Timeless Paige, contacted me to help with re-branding her business, coinciding with her move from Darwin to Melbourne. It was quite easy for me to select a colour palette for Timeless Paige Photography's branding. I simply used her photographs as inspiration; creams, nudes, charcoals and soft greys. It was a pleasure working with Jess and I'm sure Melbourne will fall in love with Timeless Paige Photography.

Here is a peek into the design process...

I love this website! We kept it simple, clean and easy to navigate so her beautiful photographs would be the main feature. Pause a moment on the homepage and enjoy watching the interchanging photo frames.

Happy Monday friends! Today I am revealing the logo for a new Pilbara based business Connect Paediatric Therapy Services

Caitlin, the gorgeous owner of Connect, came to me needing a logo and stationery to launch her new business (and a website down the track). From the very beginning Caitlin wanted 'hands' to be featured in her logo design to represent the connection between child, parent and therapist. As a lover of all colours, she also wanted a bright, bold, colourful logo.

I hope you'll take a peek at Connect Paediatric Therapy Services to see the design in action!

I’m the first to admit: I am a serial rebrander!! Or, I should say ‘was a serial rebrander’. I swear I will not change my brand again for at least the next 5years. I have, embarrassingly, changed my logo 6 times since I started working for myself 4 years ago.

In my defence, as a graphic designer it is very very hard to design for yourself. I see so many amazing design concepts and I want them all. But I realised what was really missing… a defined brand. Also I was lacking time and a clear vision of my ideal client!! I spend all my working time creating other people’s brand and didn’t prioritise time for my own business. I make clients complete questionnaires and put together Pinterest boards, all so I can have better knowledge of their business, mission, vision, target market and personal style. I never really stopped and took the time to reflect on my own business. Once I did, I quickly realised my mission and target market has changed a lot over the past 4 years. In 2012, my target market was mothers of young children looking for birth announcement cards or birthday invitations. Fast forward 4 years and my target market is passionate business owners who are looking to take their business to the next level and my mission is to help these entrepreneurs bring their ideas and dreams to life through a purposeful, personal branding and web design process. Having now clearly defined my target market, I could confidently move forward and create an authentic brand that would reflect my own style (minimalist, monochrome) and also engage my ideal clients for years to come.

So I encourage you to ask yourself the following questions to see if your business might be due for a rebrand. Keep in mind that a brand is more than a logo, it’s a story. If you answer ‘no’ to two or more questions below, you may want to contact me and consider rebranding.

  • Reflect on your current mission, is it the same as when you first established your business?
  • When someone visits your website or social media can they immediately tell what your business is all about?
  • Are you attracting your ideal clients?
  • Is your branding consistent on all levels (ie. social media, website, print collateral, emails etc)?
  • Does your brand design allow for your long term goals?
  • Will your brand still be relevant in 5 years time?
  • Do you love your brand design?
  • Does your brand reflect your own personal style and story?

I am very excited to share with you the re-brand I have been working on for the past few months with Erin from Erin Hardy Photography. Erin is a gifted photographer based in Karratha, she approached me for design work because she felt her brand and website were no longer cohesive with the quality and style of her photography. I couldn’t have agreed more! Erin is continually developing her skills and style, every newborn photography I see makes my ovaries scream just a little.

You can take a peek into our branding process below and don’t forget to check out Erin’s new website too!

So what do you think of the re-brand and website for Erin Hardy Photography?

Belle Ame's website is now officially live!

Allana, the creative owner of Belle Ame, has designed a salon completely on point, just like her brows. We wanted to create a website that was just as beautiful. The site has been designed with the customer in mind, so includes convenient features such as online bookings, event calendars, real-time service menu and online stores.

I invite you to check out the beautiful new home of Belle Ame.

I've worked with Kylianne on a several projects over the past 2 years, Fluxx Fitness and Pure Boss Lady to name a couple, so I know we well together. Kylianne's new brand and website truly reflects her passion for movement and wellness. The Movement Room is for mummas who want to unlock their potential, find inspiration, be empowered, shift their mindset, reconnect to the why behind their goals to get results.

The design direction we took for The Movement Room is beachy, relaxed, clean, modern with a touch of feminine. I'm excited to share the branding process and final design below along with some lovely photos compliments of Hart Me Photography

So what do you think of the new brand and website for The Movement Room?
